Awesome! I liked the way you have put the games. Hope you will be updating this chart in the coming years as there will be more and more great games. Great work!
Here another one that want the high res file for a poster!!!!
I do have the high-res version of this chart available π
Dear Dmitry,
I love love love your chart and would be so grateful to receive a high resolution version of it if possible. It would make our family game evenings much more peaceful π
Really good work!
Where can i find this chart in a poster to hang it on my wall?
lol…. glad you’ve liked it as I’ve spent days putting it together. Maybe I should put a high-res image up for download.
First of all, thanks for this helpful list!
I agree that games like Catan or Carcassonne may not be the best on any category, but it would be nice to have them make the list, as well as other of the most commonly recommended games (Dominion, maybe Agricola…), even as a footnote under the logo of the one you recommend.
Anyway, this is a more than interesting list, not only because of the way you can navigate the chart to find the game that better suits you, because most of them are among the most played and best selling games, highly accessible and available.
Thanks, Daniel, I am glad you found it helpful!
what about Carcassonne? i don’t see any game in the chart that is similar, and i still find it a good option for both casual players and experienced players.
Agreed, it is a good game… but if you think what is it best at – what would be the niche that it nails?
Really great work! I was surprised that in the area of 2 player -> compete -> fun, there wasnβt dice combat Dice Throne or Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn.
Thanks for your feedback! yup, there are too many board games, so I had to be very selective, sorry π
I saw there wasn’t a whole lot of solo games. A good one that fulfills your fantasy needs is Star Wars: Imperial Assault. If you have the phone app it has tutorials and isn’t too hard to pick up.
Obviously the chart is amazing already and doesn’t really need additions. But if you are looking for sci-fi solo, there ya go.
Good point, thank you. I will see if I can slot it in somewhere!
And where is Catan?
Sorry, did not make it π
No offense but I can’t imagine a scenario where Catan is the best option. It’s an okay game but so many better games have been published in the last 20 years.
Yup, I kinda agree
It is hard to imagine how much work has gone into this chart – absolutely stunning!
Yup, it was a challenge, but a lot of fun at the same time π
My favorite board game is Mysterium and I have managed to hit it by answering all the questions – well done guys!
Glad you’ve liked it!
Wow guys…this is simply epic! I think you need to add some color to this bad boy!
Working on it – do you have any feedback on the games or decision trees?
+1 for not having Settlers of Catan in the chart!
