The two player, trick taking game “Jekyll vs Hyde” might be good to include. It’s re-playable, small footprint, low on rules and fiddly bits, permits strategy and cunning, with some luck. AND it’s an inexpensive game.

Me and my spouse love Claustrophobia 🙂 Probably a little too battle oriented, but pure fun for the two of us! Beautiful pieces and hours of fun, I highly recommend!

In reply to Diitra. Yes, those are great options for couples to play. Carcassonne is a competitive game, but we feel Imperial Settlers does a better job at it. Pandemic is brilliant, but you need 4 people for it to shine.
